The Arab Energy Fund issued its 2023 Green Bond Report, detailing the allocation of 80% of the $610 million raised from its inaugural green bond, marking the first energy-focused green bond in the MENA region.
These projects, including solar and wind farms in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt, are projected to avoid 24.88 million tons of CO2 emissions annually, with a total renewable energy generation of over 15,067,325 MWh per year.
